Charlie enjoys examining the finer details that make every client’s situation unique. Wealth management is a very personal and often emotional process, and there is no such thing as a “cookie cutter” solution. Understanding what makes a client’s situation unique and what really matters to the client can profoundly impact the best steps to take to help them reach their goals.
In addition to serving clients as a member of the Wealth Management Committee, Charlie sits on the firm’s Financial Planning Committee, which is responsible for educating the team on financial planning topics and improving the team’s multifaceted planning process. Charlie’s role on the committee focuses on coordination with industry professionally from Insurance, Estate, and Tax backgrounds and as the in-house subject matter specialist to improve the team’s ability to provide personalized and proactive advice to clients. Additionally, Charlie works closely with the firm’s technology department to continually ensure that the team is equipped with industry-leading tools.
Charlie Murin joined CI BDF in 2015. Before coming to CI BDF, Charlie earned a Bachelor of Science from the University of Illinois in Agriculture and Consumer Economics with a concentration in Financial Planning. He has his Series 65 license and is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ professional.
Outside of work, you will find Charlie spending time with his wife, Caitlin, as they try to keep up with their son, James, and daughter Penelope. Charlie loves traveling to places where he has never been and following Chicago sports. Charlie gives his time participating as an active member of the Trinity Roselle Lutheran Church Finance Ministry advisory board. He is also a board member of the Trinity Roselle Foundation, where he serves as a member of the Finance and Investing Committee.
